Carlos Carrera

At 13 he made his first work in Super 8 and since then has made many short films, documentaries, commercials and feature films. He studied Communication at the Iberoamerican University and Film Directing at the CCC. He has made nine animation short films, among which we could mention El héroe (1994), winner of the Golden Palm at Cannes. He has also directed five feature films, among them El Crimen del Padre Amaro (2002), nominated to the Golden Globes and to the Oscars in the category of Best Film in a Foreign Language. De raíz (2004) means his return to animation.
