Biographie
KEVIN R. McNALLY is a well-known actor in his native U.K. who has played both leading and supporting roles on stage, film and television for nearly 30 years.
McNally is perhaps best known for his role as Joshamee Gibbs in all four installments of the blockbuster Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He was also seen in Bryan Singer's World War II thriller Valkyrie, with Tom Cruise.
McNally made his feature film debut in the James Bond adventure The Spy Who Loved Me. Other film credits include The Long Good Friday, Enigma, Not Quite Paradise, Cry Freedom, The Legend of 1900, Entrapment, When the Sky Falls, Johnny English, De-Lovely, Scoop and The Phantom of the Opera.
McNally's numerous television credits include the Emmy-nominated telefilm "Shackleton" for the A&E Network and "Conspiracy" for HBO, both of which won BAFTA Awards. He has been a series regular on "The Devil's Crown," "Tygo Road," "Full Stretch," "Dad," "Underworld" and "Bedtime."
Over the years, McNally has appeared in such miniseries as "Up Rising," "Poldark II," "Masada," "Diana" and "I, Claudius." His made-for-television-movie credits include "Praying Mantis," "Jekyll & Hyde," "Stalin," "Abraham," "The Smiths," "Dunkirk" and "Blood Lines."
In the theater world, McNally has extensive experience on the stages of London's West End. In addition to "Boeing-Boeing," he appeared in two productions directed by Michael Grandage: "Ivanov," with Kenneth Branagh, and "Hamlet," with Jude Law. He worked with Maggie Smith in "The Lady in the Van" and Juliette Binoche in "Naked." He also starred in Terry Johnson's "Dead Funny" at the Savoy Theatre.
