Paco Caballero

Biographie

He studied film screenwriting at the School of Cinematography and Audiovisuals of Madrid (ECAM) and cinematographic direction at the Higher School of Cinema and Audiovisual of Catalonia (ESCAC). He has written and directed several short films such as Sinceridad with Raúl Arévalo and Alicia Rubio, Bienes Comunes with Fernando Cayo and Marta Belaustegui, Cheque polvo with Miki Esparbé and Alicia Rubio and Double Check with Miki Esparbé and Mariam Hernández, presented to many festivals. Double Check, a film that talks about love in WhatsApp times, got more than one million hits online in just one month and won four nominations and one award at the Notodofilmfest 2012. In 2015, he published a graphic novel with the actor Miki Esparbé with the Bridge seal called Soy tu príncipe azul pero eres daltónica.  He has also worked at FILMAX as director of the series Cites for TV3 and has directed two seasons of Benvinguts a la familia for TV3 and Netflix. He made his first feature film, Perdiendo el este (sequel of Perdiendo el norte) with Atresmedia Cine and Warner Bros.
