Lucía Garibaldi has written and directed two fiction shorts, Colchones (2009) and Mojarra (2012). In 2018, her first feature film, Los tiburones (The Sharks), was selected to participate in Films in Progress at San Sebastian, where it won the Industry and Film Factory awards. Since then, the film has harvested numerous accolades, including Best Director at the Sundance Festival’s World Cinema Dramatic Competition, Special Jury Prize at the BAFICI and the Grand Prix Coup de Coeur in Toulouse.
