Sociologist and director, Laura Baumeister studied filmmaking in Mexico. She has directed the short films Isabel im Winter (2014), screened in the Semaine de la Critique at the Festival de Cannes, Fuerza bruta (2016), recipient of a special mention at Cinélatino Rencontres de Toulouse and of the Best Actress Award at the Morelia Festival, and Ombligo de agua (2018), which had its premiere at the Rotterdam Festival. La hija de todas las rabias (Daughter of Rage), her first feature film, won the Best Project Award at the VIII Europe-Latin America Co-Production Forum, the EFADs-CAACI Europe-Latin America Co-production Award and the Artekino International Prize at the San Sebastian Festival. It carried off the WIP Latam Industry Award in 2021.
