Julie Taymor

Fascinated by the theater world, she spent her adolescence travelling all over the world and soaking up different folklores, something that decisively influenced the productions she has successfully directed on Broadway. In 1999 she directed her first film, Titus, which was followed by Frida (2002) and Across the Universe (2007).
