Biographie

Tarik Saleh is, together with Kristina Åberg, co-founder of the production company Atmo. He started as one of the top graffiti artists in Stockholm in the 80s. He directed and wrote the screenplay for The Nile Hilton Incident, which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2017, as well as awards such as the Golden Spike and the awards for Best Director and Best Screenplay at Seminci that same year. He previously directed documentaries such as Sacrificio: Who Betrayed Che Guevara (2001) and Gitmo (2004), before debuting in 2009 with the animated feature Metropia, awarded in Venice and selected in competitions such as Annecy, Sitges or Stockholm. His filmography also includes the thrillers Tommy (2014) and The Contractor (2022), several episodes of the futuristic HBO-series Westworld (2018) and Showtimes series Ray Donovan. Boy from Heaven (2022) won the award for Best Screenplay at the Cannes Film Festival.
