Alina Smirnova

Biographie

Alina Smirnova is a New York City based production designer working on the East Coast. She received her BFA in Visual Art from Cornell University and an MFA in Design for Stage and Film from New York University. She has designed numerous short films, three feature length films, of which Keep the Change was her feature debut, and a set for an Emmy award winning documentary Jim: The James Foley Story. Alina is passionate about the design process because it allows her to collaborate, improvise and texture the work that is created.
