Damien Power grew up in Launceston, Tasmania - population: 60,000; cinemas: 1. He started writing and directing soon after arriving in Sydney and studied directing at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. He has written and directed several award-winning shorts that have screened at many festivals and as part of YouTube and Scott Free Production's inaugural Your Film Festival. He received a Creative Fellowship for the short Hitchhiker.Killing Ground is Power's first feature film.
