Born in Alicante, she soon moved to the former colony of Guinea (presently Ecuatorial Guinea). There she finished secondary school, and she worked for a local radio writing and producing programmes and as a presenter. She directed some plays in Guinea and later in Madrid, for several university theatre groups, while she studies at the School of Economics. She studied and graduated, specializing in directing, from the Official School of Cinematography in Madrid (1970). She has combined her works as a director of commercials, industrial documentaries and television programmes, with the writing of scripts for films and television and with short and full length films making. She has also been the producer of her feature films.
