Biographie

Periklis Hoursoglou (b. 1955, Athens) studied mathematics and film. He has worked with many top directors, including his teacher Pantelis Voulgaris. Since 2004 he has taught direction at the School of Film Studies at Thessaloniki's Aristotle University, as well as courses in acting at another college. He is an admirer (and attentive student) of Ken Loach and Mike Leigh. Hoursoglou has made three shorts and four features, and his films have taken several Greek awards. The gently ironic work The Building Manager received the FIPRESCI Prize at the Thessaloniki Film Festival. Shorts: The Cufflinks (1980), Touch Typing (1983), Style (1987).
