Biographie

Garik Seko (1935-1994), an animator and director of Georgian origin, worked at Prague's Studio J. Trnka and with Hermina Týrlová at Zlín's studios. He was a specialist in the animation of non-traditional materials: stones, wire, lace, clock pieces and books. But he also worked with puppets and used paper techniques. He also directed short films, e.g. Curious Mouse (Zvědavá myška, 1964), Bone (Kost, 1968), Tick Tock (Tik - tak, 1974), Bruncvík and the Lion (Bruncvík a lev, 1980), Ex Libris (1982), and the TV series The Blackbird Brothers (Kosí bratři, 1980) and The Life of the Horáček Farmily (Ze života rodiny Horáčkovy, 1990).
