Biographie

Liz Destro is an independent producer with a Law Degree from New York Law, where she focused on Entertainment Law.

In 2005 Liz produced her first feature film entitled Car Babes, which was distributed by Universal Pictures. Since then Liz has produced numerous award-winning films, including The Living Wake, Weapons, Explicit Ills, The End of Love, and About Cherry. They have screened at film festivals all over the world.

Liz was an executive producer on Lee Daniel's The Butler starring Forrest Whitaker and Oprah Winfrey. Liz also produced the closing night film at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, Life of Crime starring Jennifer Aniston, John Hawkes, Tim Robbins, Isla Fisher, and Will Forte. She is very proud to have produced the indie Life After Beth, in dramatic competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival.

Throughout her years of filmmaking, Liz has served as legal counsel for many independent films, and has negotiated sales agency contracts, actor deals, and distribution agreements with nearly every major agency and distributor.
