Biographie

Julia Ducournau finished her screenwriting studies at the La Fémis film school in Paris in 2008, and in 2011 she won the Petit Rail d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her short film Junior. In 2016, she directed her film Raw, which was screened during the critics’ week of the 2016 Cannes Festiva. In 2021. She won the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival for her second feature film, Titane, becoming the second woman to win the award in the history of the Festival.
