Ja’Tovia M. Gary is an artist and filmmaker. Her award-winning films, An Ecstatic Experience (2015) and Giverny I (Négresse Impériale) (2017) have been exhibited worldwide including the Edinburgh International Film Festival, Whitney Museum, Anthology Film Archive, Sheffield Doc/Fest, the Schomburg Ctr, MoMA PS1, Hammer Museum, Harvard Film Archives, New Orleans, Ann Arbor Film Festival and many more. She has received generous support from Sundance, Creative Capital, Field of Vision and others.
