Biographie

A one-time student of New York University's film school, Bennett Miller (1966, New York City, USA) shot many TV commercials and one acclaimed documentary, The Cruise (1998), a portrait of eccentric New York City tour guide, before springing to stardom by directing Capote in 2005. In 2009, Miller was hired by Columbia Pictures to direct Moneyball (2011), after the originally appointed director, Steven Soderbergh, clashed with producers over the tone of the film. The resulting film was a critical and commercial success.
