Biographie
Principally a contracted director and scriptwriter for B-movies, Suzuki was fired from a studio after turning in the script for Branded to Kill. He sued the studio and was blacklisted for 10 years, but went on to become a cult-film hero with dozens of films in his lifetime. He won Japanese Academy Awards for Zigeunerweisen (1980), part Taisho Trilogy; Yumeji (1991), from the same trilogy, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival.
