Biographie
HEITOR DHALIA directed, in 1999, his first short film, Conceição.
His first feature film Nina (2004) won Critic's Special Mention at the Moscow Film Festival and Photography Award at the Latin American Film Festival in Lima.
In 2006, he directed O Cheiro do Ralo (Drained), a black-humor comedy starring Selton Mello and based on namesake book from Lourenço Mutarelli. A success with both public and critics alike, the film participated in the official selection of Sundance Festival and won the Jury's Special Award, Critic's Award and Best Actor at the Rio Film Festival as well as the Bandeira Paulista Trophy from the international Jury at the 30th International Film Exhibit in São Paulo.
With À Deriva (Adrift), his third feature film, he joined the "Un Certain Regard" Exhibition at the Cannes Festival 2009.
