Scriptwriter, film and television director and playwright. She was born in Argentina but moved to Spain as a child with her family. Graduated from Psychology, she began to work in theatre, training in Dramatic Art and Playwriting. She has written and directed feature films such as A mi madre le gustan las mujeres (2002); Semen, una historia de amor (2005); 7 minutos (2009); La adopción (2015); Mamá no enredes (2002) and Alguien que cuide de mí (2023), the last one was co-written and co-directed with Elvira Lindo. She has been awarded and nominated for several awards, including a Goya for best new director. She has written scripts for other directors, such as Patricia Ferreira or Emilio Martínez-Lázaro, and several TV programs. She’s professor at the School of Cinematography and Audiovisual of the Community of Madrid (ECAM); at the Master’s Degree in Scriptwriting and Playwriting by the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM); at the Master’s Degree in Scriptwriting at Mediapro Studio-Complutense University of Madrid and at the Master’s Degree in Film and Television Scriptwriting by the University Carlos III of Madrid. She is a tutor in various Latin American scriptwriting workshops. And she is a founding member of CIMA, by its acronym in Spanish, Women Filmmakers and Audiovisual Media.
