Jon Long is an accomplished documentary filmmaker and one of the first independent moviemakers to portray the style and culture of action sports. In 1999 he made the IMAX short film Extreme, which quickly became one of the highest box office grossing documentaries ever made. He has directed and produced films for Disney, National Geographic and PBS, among others, and has made commercials for numerous companies. He recently founded the production and distribution company, The Earth Network.
