Vlad Petri

He studied cinematography as well as visual and media anthropology. After graduating from the University of Cinema and Theatre with a BA in Cinematography and Television, he started working as a freelance photographer and cinematographer. His films, at the border between documentary and fiction, have been shown in international film festivals like Berlin, Rotterdam, Sarajevo or Jihlava. He won three Romanian GOPO awards - for Best Debut (2015) and Best Short Documentary film (2021, 2022). His selected filmography includes the short films The Deer Passed in Front of Me (2020) and The Same Dream (2021), and the features Where Are You Bucharest? (2014) and Between Revolutions (2023), Fipresci Award at the Berlinale Forum.
