After studying political science in Bordeaux and a stint producing documentary films, Thomas Cailley joined the screenwriting program at La Fémis. There, he began working on his first feature film, Love at First Fight, a survivalist comedy, co-written with Claude Le Pape. Starring Adèle Haenel and Kevin Azaïs, the film was selected for Cannes Directors’ Fortnight in 2014 and garnered three Césars in 2015, including Best First Feature Film. Created with Sébastien Mounier and directed for Arte, his first series Ad Vitam blends science fiction and film noir. It was selected for the 2018 Toronto International Film Festival and voted “Best French Series” at the 2018 Series Mania festival.
