Salamandre - Episode 5 (2013) (épisode)

anglais Except for the extremely unrealistic incorporation of Paul Gerardi into the P9 organization, the fifth episode did not bother me at all and I quite enjoyed it - time passed nicely. I didn't mind the even distribution of the plot between the investigation and the partnership crisis, so in the end, it turned out to be a relaxed three-star experience.

Salamandre - Episode 4 (2013) (épisode)

anglais There could be a long debate about some situations, but I have decided to turn a blind eye because Gerarda is doing foolish things, but then there's that fear for my daughter... I think the creators dared to do something they simply shouldn't have. Especially the script is not the best and everything else is riding on that.

Salamandre - Episode 3 (2013) (épisode)

anglais Originally, I wanted to rate the third episode with three stars because I quite enjoyed it, however, experienced criminal inspector Paul Gerardi disappointed me again when he lost his cool and joyfully broke several regulations right in front of a police car. A police officer would deduct points from him, but I'm taking away a star.

Salamandre - Episode 2 (2013) (épisode)

anglais I am lowering my rating compared to the first episode to a two because the second episode didn't impress me much. From the practically private investigation in the bank, I watched the plot with a very incredulous expression on my face because it all seemed too amateurish to me. The climax came when the experienced detective produced a suicide gun and then convincingly claimed that it was a suicide. The only thing missing was the sentence: "It's not what it looks like."

Salamandre - Episode 1 (2012) (épisode)

anglais The first episode was a typical introduction to the series (the viewer gets to know the characters and the main theme), the tension and atmosphere worked quite well for me, but at the same time, I had a feeling that I had already seen a film or series with a similar storyline a few times, so three pieces will have to be enough.

La Vipère noire - The Foretelling (1983) (épisode)

anglais The first episode of the series still suffered from childhood illnesses, Rowan Atkinson appeared more like Mr. Bean with exaggerated facial expressions rather than Edmund Black Adder, and Brian Blessed was still finding his footing, so it didn't receive better ratings yet. But without any hesitation, I admit that I was thoroughly entertained in some parts.

Hell On Wheels : L'enfer de l'ouest (2011) (série)

anglais After all five seasons, I can say that I was very satisfied. I am always pleased when someone can handle a western well. I was thrilled that the creators chose a Confederate Army veteran as the protagonist. Unlike other people, I don't think the American Civil War broke out in order to put an end to slavery (the difference between a cause and a pretext is often significant). I enjoyed how the motif of revenge gradually transformed into an obsession with the railway. I enjoyed the gradual development of individual characters, and I think that Colm Meaney was a great choice for the character of Thomas Durant. Great satisfaction on my part. 4*+

Hell On Wheels : L'enfer de l'ouest - Season 5 (2015) (saison)

anglais The season was of a high quality as usual. The creators put a lot of effort into creating a great atmosphere. I only think the season could do with a greater dose of action and suspense. I was also expecting a much more epic finale - I was a bit disappointed by how it was handled.

Hell On Wheels : L'enfer de l'ouest - Done (2016) (épisode)

anglais Honestly, I was hoping that at least in the final conclusion I would reach for the highest rating, but it turned out that it won't be necessary again. The finale of the whole high-quality series disappointed me a bit, I feel that the creators have become too accustomed to open endings, I was hoping they would conclude more storylines than just Durant's in the opening of the eleventh episode.

Hell On Wheels : L'enfer de l'ouest - Railroad Men (2016) (épisode)

anglais The Grand Prix of Ogden in railway construction was not bad at all, but the creators once again managed to disappoint me. When it was no longer possible to cast black people in socially significant roles, they had to show their contribution in another way, of course. It's quite interesting, I have never minded black people, nor do I mind them, but current quotas and trends slowly make me a racist.
