Quite a disappointment. The beginning seems to be a blockbuster modern Expendables with young faces. The script, however, lags considerably after a while and the ending (although it shows some originality) doesn't really make any sense to me...

Although I give Phoenix a lot of credit for his acting talent, his portrayal of Jesus was not very good...

Faith really does have a purpose. The Erwin Brothers are beginning to look like a promising revolution in the Christian film industry. They are able to deliver stories to the viewer with ease and sensitivity, along with maintaining a quality production worthy of a Hollywood cast. Woodlawn is no exception to this. A quality take on a real event with a team spirit and a devotion to God. Great atmosphere with a very surprising Nic Bishop! Keep it up.

An interesting real story with a thoughtful narration. Craft-wise, perhaps the timing of the script and the length of the scenes could have been better structured. The transformation of the father may not have been as well felt as I would have liked for my taste, but the story itself, including the musical passages, visuals and acting, was a very pleasant surprise!

A biographical emotional rollercoaster, filled with absolutely breathtaking, naturally portrayed performances by the two leads. Not a superficial affair, a very unique cinematic case of faith that focuses on the deeper ideas of the meaning of life. Fantastic music, craftsmanship and a story that will make you laugh, move and encourage reflection with its heartfelt moments. The fact that the film tells a real life event gives you goosebumps and a lot of questions that will probably remain unanswered forever. ~ We paint with brushes... He paints with a billion stars and a trillion galaxies. ~

The realism of this film, which is classified as science fiction, is only understood when it starts happening in the real world. It's chilling how much the filmmakers were able to anticipate all aspects, including the basic systemic steps of a possible pandemic. Let's hope we can do better than the movie...

A timeless film. 16 years after its release, the subject is more relevant than ever.

Precise filmmaking of a true story. The development of the characters and the gradual evolution of the plot revealing the facts found was accompanied by great acting performances. My favorite Kaitlyn Dever is just perfect for these more depressing roles. The emergence of the fantastic Toni Collette in the third episode really kicked it up a notch and her strong characterization gave the plot a whole new dimension, which added to the subsequent gradation of the finale. Brilliantly crafted and flawlessly served right under the viewer's nose.
