Laura (1944)

anglais A great film noir that didn't need the biggest stars of its time, although Dana Andrews is simply fantastic in this film, as is Gene Tierney in the role of the titular heroine. The story is pleasantly tangled, and in this case, it doesn't come off as silly but just serious enough. A great role for Vincent Price.

Sniper 5: Legacy (2014)

anglais A peculiar story unfolding in occasionally intriguing settings, regardless of their purpose. Tom Berenger is essentially just in a cameo role here, and the film doesn't really focus on him. He has also aged quite a bit, and one doesn't quite believe in him as much anymore. The circle has closed, and I hope it's closed for good. Or perhaps it's just about the young ones now?

Tub (2010)

anglais Such a stupid nonsense that relies on the hope that it might be funny. It can try, but unfortunately, it isn't funny. First you will wonder what it will be, and then you'll just shake your head until the end. I like offbeat movies, but this was either too offbeat or simply just stupid.

Le Port de l'angoisse (1944)

anglais Humphrey Bogart once again proves what a great actor he was, not just through his acting but also through his spoken delivery. When he speaks, it really is worth listening to. He had perfect chemistry with Lauren, which was evident in their marriage as well. It reminds me a bit of Casablanca and doesn't have its full quality, but that doesn't change the fact that there are great characters here.

The Rover (2014)

anglais The Rover is certainly an interesting film, although it heavily depends on whether you enjoy slow, contemplative movies where every second feels like it actually lasts three seconds. It drags on, but the story being told here isn't completely bad in itself. It just doesn't impress. I'm a fan of Robert Pattinson, and here he proves that he's stepped out of his box and is a capable actor. Guy Pearce proved that long ago, but he tends to play similar types of roles too often.

Sniper 4 (2011)

anglais It's a bit of an action mashup, but it's quite nice that it still sticks to the original premise. Billy Zane is back, although definitely don't watch it because of him. Even though he's first on the poster, he gets very little screen time. The story revolves around the son of the original sniper, and it must be said that he’s grown up now. This also contributed to the lack of originality in the story, which also lacks strong moments.

Le Chant du Missouri (1944)

anglais It's visually beautiful - that's just the Technicolor magic that always gets me - but in terms of story, it's not compelling enough to knock me off my feet. Judy Garland is adorable, and she yawns beautifully. There are some excellent scenes here, especially the Halloween one or the snowman scene, but otherwise, it's a film that warms your heart on a Sunday afternoon, and then you move on to do something else.

Jason le mort-vivant (1986)

anglais Jason Lives: Friday the 13th Part VI has a good sense of humor that somewhat revitalizes the series. The same formula is still here, but it's the humor, the development of the mythology, and fairly tolerable characters that at least add a touch of mediocrity, which was significantly lacking in some previous installments. Jason isn't exceptional in any way here, but you still care about how well he'll manage to kill people around him. And it's funny in places.

Dennis (2007)

anglais Kim Kold is an incredible person, both physically and as an actor. He fits perfectly into similar films, and the dramatic, melancholic dimension suits him excellently. The moment when the other men arrive is incredible, as is the last scene, which shows that a person's greatness and strength don't matter. Mommy's still mommy.

Sniper 3 (2004)

anglais It's got something going for it if you liked the previous films. It's quite nice to meet the sniper character again and see that he still has it, as well as to see how he ages and certain problems arise. It's not acted brilliantly, it's not even brilliantly filmed, but as an action movie, it still holds up pretty well.
