Pethushka

A beautiful fairy tale that manages to illustrate both worlds (based on Thor's realm). I was a little bothered that Thor knew everything. On the other hand, there have been plenty of aliens amazed at cars and so on. I laughed at the scene where Thor walks into the Pet Center and says: "Give me a horse." The film certainly has more positives than negatives, but I'm still a little short of a full count. The 3D was completely unnecessary.

Why have I put off the day watching this movie so much? Really interesting subject matter and I have to say that Jake Gyllenhaal surprised me greatly with his performance. A sophisticated script and details that leave you spellbound. I'm giving 5 stars mainly because I'm so confused that as far as I know I could have been in the movie too. I must also point out the brilliant music, which went nicely hand in hand with the plot. The only thing missing was a more elaborate ending.

A bit of a Cinderella story, a bit of a naive romance, and a bit boring at times. JLo again plays it with a "well, if I have to" attitude and then makes it look that way. The film lacks charisma and any kind of charm so even the beautiful Jennifer can't save it.

Finally a film that has some class. It's full of intelligent arguments and quality jokes from the start. Aaron Eckhart is unflappable and handles his role with aplomb. He didn't convince me to smoke, but I found his performance very likeable. The second half of the film is a little weaker, but still deserves a full rating.

This movie knocked me on my ass. Candy is one of my fondest memories of Heath Ledger. The division between Heaven, Earth, and Hell is really apt and makes the film even more interesting.

A pretty original idea that was put in the right hands. Above standard performances from both leads and lots of really funny lines and scenes. One of the most successful comedies of all time. Just sit back and enjoy... 4.5 stars.

This is exactly how I like Kutcher. Even if the film was a bit lacking in romance or any real meaning. Too much sex in this case didn't bother me because that's what the movie was really about. I wouldn't look for instructions on how to pick up a chick though. A nice diversion.

It doesn't take any great art or originality to make a film entertaining, to make you cry and like it. This film is proof of that. I have the most fun with relaxing films like this.

I can't help but love the royal movies of today. The sublime atmosphere, the extraordinary things the royal family does... it really gets me. There's nothing artistic about it, and it's certainly cheesy, but I gobble it up. They definitely improved William's looks.

I don't doubt the quality of this series, but sometimes I wish the parents weren't so strict. The constant nagging makes my head hurt. Well, it's nothing clever, but it's quite entertaining.
