Uramisten

As a last chance in his career, the young acrobat with a broken leg, Sajek Oszkár, attempts to obtain the wonderful secret from the retired old artist, Uncle Binder Lipi, a secret which was a world hit. The lame artist commits everything in his power. He is asking, begging, threatening, tries cunningly, blackmails, trains himself and gets even one million forints. The lonely illusionist casts the boy under difficult trials, and learns to love him. In the end, however, he announces that "The hit is me". Soon after he dies, but in his death he helps the boy, as in the strange posture of the cadaver Sajek finds the key to the show. He makes it, but amongst the feverish applause, he feels empty, desireless and lonely. (texte officiel du distributeur)
