Five Minutes

It took only five minutes for her World to stop spinning. When she woke up that morning, Alice would never have thought that she’d never hear Adélia’s voice again. She couldn’t imagine that her last words would be “good night”. All her love, joy and courage to spend so many years together ceased with that deafening velvet silence.
