Finally, a series with great action, but unfortunately not enough of it. The intrigue and manipulations that I otherwise really enjoy were a bit over-the-top and confusing, there wasn’t a single character I could root for, and I even found myself getting bored at times. (05/09/2020)

The pilot episode had quite an extended runtime, almost like a full-length feature film, but I can't shake the feeling that the plot left something to be desired. While I thoroughly enjoyed the action sequences, there just weren't enough of them given the length of the episode. I'm finding that less is more with this series. Cutting down on the runtime has definitely improved my viewing experience. While the plot didn't blow me away this time around, condensing it into a one-hour episode made it much more digestible. And even though the action was sparse, when it did happen, it packed a punch. I'm kind of torn on this one. The episode followed a similar structure to the last one, but Cole really let me down. I mean, everyone spoke about him with this sense of dread in their eyes, like he was the next Voldemort or something. Then we get to the final showdown, and... nothing. But, I've got to give credit where it's due — the final conversation between Sean and Lale was top-notch. (03/09/2020)

The fourth episode was the best one yet. It had a pace that kept me engaged from start to finish, with action sequences that were brilliantly executed. And that sniper ending? Absolutely fantastic. The only thing that surprised me was how superficially Elliot seemed to be wounded by the high-speed bullet from the high-caliber rifle. Talk about rock-solid abs. (04/09/2020)

Why just three stars for an episode that's been getting rave reviews? Let me break it down. The action in this episode was undeniably stellar and definitely deserves applause. But here's the thing – action was pretty much all it had going for it. Aside from that, we were treated to the survival saga of two characters who felt entirely superfluous. If this episode hadn't existed, it wouldn't have made a dent in the main storyline. And let's not forget the sudden appearance of Terminator-like antics from Kinney. Where did that come from? I couldn't quite shake off that discomfort during the violent scenes. If it were a guy hanging there, I might have been more at ease. Apart from those intense moments, nothing else really stood out to me, so three stars seems fair. And am I the only one feeling like Michelle Fairley has firmly cemented herself in the role of the slightly unhinged matriarch? (04/09/2020)

While I wouldn't label it as a bad episode, I can't say it left me thrilled either. The opening hinted at some promising action, only to fall short, though the final "family" scene did redeem it somewhat. If it weren't for the constant reminders that the story is set in London, I could easily mistake it for the Middle East. (05/09/2020)

While it's still above average, the series only occasionally hits its stride. From the outset, the creators launched several storylines, and as the series progresses, I'm starting to doubt they'll tie them up successfully. The finale fell flat for me, unfortunately. The only aspect that caught my interest was Hercules' child who seems to chew flints instead of brushing his teeth. Otherwise, it felt weak. I'm tired of seeing waterboarding everywhere; what happened to the good old days of finger-crushing with a hammer? And it seems Florian is shaping up to be the local version of the Red Priestess, so Mariane Stark... I mean, Mariane Wallace, will likely make a return. But honestly, I won't be tuning in for that.
