Mrs. America (2020)

anglais It is evident that the premise of this mini-series is solely American and made for Americans. Nevertheless there are a lot of great roles in this series and a lot of actresses that are showing off their acting skills. And that is one of the reasons that I think that it is worth watching this story even though I’m not lover of everything American. Mrs. America is really well produced, according to expectations heavily political and if it wasn’t made into a mini-series consisting of 9 episodes, it would be sufficient as a 2 hour long movie. In the first half of the series I had a feeling that the women were fighting for common sense equality and they are trying to explain that equality is good but only to some extent. No one can expect them to serve mandatorily in the army or to pay alimony to fathers of their children, right? But there is a slight shift in the second half of the series and besides the great performances of Cate Blanchett, Elizabeth Banks, Rose Byrne this series offers one fictional character portrayed by Sarah Paulson which was the best of all. In the end I have to say that even though this series is unnecessarily long, it presents some interesting moments that happened in American history I wasn’t aware of at all and it was worth watching.
