“That A stands for Adam, or alcoholic?” A fragile story about an age when slipping is so easy. The eighteenth birthday, graduation, university application, first girlfriend, everything ahead of you... But Adam ends up in rehab. He thought he had everything under control, that a few shots made him wittier... So where did it go wrong? ()

anglais The greatest asset of this intimate drama is undoubtedly the casting of Josef Trojan in the title role of the young alcoholic Adam. The son of the acclaimed Czech actor is a chip off the old block and his convincing performance really makes this movie. What I don't understand is why the theme song Kvit performed by the band Nebe doesn't play until the closing credits. That music would have been much more appropriate to the plot than a Tchaikovsky symphony, which definitely no nineteen-year-old would listen to on his ear phones nowadays. I would also have welcomed clearer transitions between the present and the past, sometimes I got a bit lost in it. (65%) ()
