The Fourth Wall

Liu Lu lives in isolation from people, sits inside her cold house, until her only friend, Ma Ha, confesses his feelings for her. He surprises her again which make them go through an emotional journey through the past, present, and future. Through different levels of narration, a visual representation that serves each level, the film reveals that the fourth wall kind performance does not only exist in arts but also in human lives. It is the wall humans build between them and their past, or between them and their souls to forget what hurts them. However, by breaking this wall, the characters may realize their destiny and look forward to a future. (Cairo International Film Festival)
