When the motel owner Rosa Lee (Tess Harper – No Country for Old Men) finds Mac penniless and with nowhere to go she takes pity on him, offering him work at the motel in exchange for a room. Desperate to turn his life around, with Rosa's help Mac resolves to salvage both his career as a musician and his relationship with his estranged daughter, Sue Anne (Ellen Barkin – Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). However, standing in his way is Dixie Scott, Mac's ex-wife, a successful singer who refuses to help his career and put him in touch with his daughter. Still shameful of his past, Dixie threatens to ruin Mac's ambitions, pushing him dangerously close to his old self-destructive ways. (StudioCanal)
