We Are The Heat

Harvey and his three friends live in the Colombian city of Buenaventura, a kingdom of violence, corruption and drug trafficking. It’s hard to survive here, especially if you are a dancer. Harvey and his friends are urban dancers and doomed to a life of poverty. While attempting to escape their hard reality, they have to abandon their dreams and focus on merely surviving. Meanwhile, a national urban dance championship is to be held in the city. Will they have enough determination to rediscover their talents and rise above the harsh realities of city life? A music- and dance-filled story about Afro-Colombian youths for whom real life is all about dance. (Warsaw Film Festival)
