The Return

Shuliwala is a wayuu indigenous girl, ten-years-old, who escapes from a paramilitary slaughter in Alta Guajira, Colombia. In the streets of Maracaibo, she meets twelveyear-old Barbara; together they feel at odds, like enemies. However, a mischievous and playful stray dog, named Compinche, begins to gradually unite them, unbeknownst to them. No one will save or rescue them; it is only the two, alongside Compiche, standing against the world. (Guadalajara International Film Festival)
