London Spy (2015)

anglais Although the creative team didn’t manage to keep up the quality of the first three episodes until the end, it was still enough for five stars by a wide margin. This was a series with an interesting concept, and I was struck by how often it could do without words. Scenes without dialogue were often enough to express everything important, and yet (or precisely because of that) they managed to create an incredibly unsettling atmosphere and decent suspense. While Bond girls mostly serve only as eye candy, poor Turner boy had to work hard all the time without being able to achieve success. I liked the series despite its awkward conclusion. ()

La Berceuse (2015) (E01)

anglais So, to be honest, at first I thought that I had completely missed the mark with the series because in the testosterone-fueled romance, I didn't find anything that could please my eye, but then the situation radically changed and I could enjoy a perfect atmosphere, excellently built tension, and high-quality performances. Révélations (2015) (E02)

anglais And the second episode was a great success. There were no dry elliptical scenes at all in this case (hooray!), but the creators managed to properly enhance the atmosphere, sparing no suspense, and developed the story so well that I completely understand why the main hero is completely overwhelmed. ()

Un club très fermé (2015) (E03)

anglais The plot of the third episode was slightly weaker, but compared to other series, it was still a clear above average. The helplessness towards the all-powerful opponent fascinates me. And I am equally captivated by Jim Broadbent's perfect performance, it is a joy to watch him. The tension this time was not as perfect as in previous episodes, but the atmosphere was once again outstanding. 5 stars. ()

Lumières (2015) (E04)

anglais So I finally experienced the first serious disappointment in the series. Maybe it would have been better if Danny hadn't managed to open that unfortunate flash drive. Alex's/Alistair's mysterious project seemed rather foolish to me after its unveiling. Everything else was fine, but the creators should have thought more about this. ()

Secrets (2015) (E05)

anglais No, no, it wasn't the same anymore. The fourth and fifth episodes had some sort of fake tone, the previous episode was the spy's magnum opus, here I didn't like Frances's awakening. Among the positives, I count the elaborate atmosphere again and the fact that there was no nonsense happy ending. ()
