The poor 15-year old shepherd girl Fidan lives in a village in Turkey. For the money, her father sells her as a bride to a family far away. When she meets her new husband Sakih she learns that he suffers from a cognitive disability. Even though he is 35 years old, he is intellectually younger than Fidan. Despite their differences their marriage takes an unexpected direction. A memorable and moving portrayal of an arranged marriage with small glimpses of light in an otherwise tragic reality.
