Pioneer

Dallas-based David Lowery created his own genre of lyrical earth-bound mysticism in his short films, which he carried into his remarkable feature work. Pioneer, made shortly before his second, break-out feature Ain’t Them Bodies Saints, is a simple bedtime story told to a young boy, and 16 minutes of pure cinema magic.
