The story takes place nowadays, somewhere in Northern Hungary. Juli leaves home one day on a bicycle. She starts toward the North. Cycles comfortably on the bending mountain roads. She left the compass home, however, so she gets lost soon. In addition, the dynamo breaks down. On the road, she meets strange figures: a foolish girl at the fuel station, a boy, who counts the car drivers passing bye, and three botched post robbers who kidnap her for a while. They continue their way in four, although not in a hurry. Next morning the girl mizzles from the robbers. The curly, impenetrable roads keep on converging and branching again. Beside the girl and the robbers, others also hang around in this land. An elderly gentleman with a boy travels here, they are enchanted by the landscape, they think there was a sea somewhere here some time ago. Two kids swing in a swing, saying: North by North. After the adventurous journey and the detours, Juli finally hits home with difficulty. (texte officiel du distributeur)
