The film, thanks to time jumps, differing pace of individual scenes, and tolerable actors (two or three actors are tolerable), tries to prove that even a fairly simple story can actually be immensely complex and complicated. Except that this is not really complex and complicated at all. It's just that there are too many characters who, overall, don't have that much relevance to such a story.
