Sava desperately wants to leave Moldova and go to Spain. After the smuggler's car is involved in an accident, he finds himself stranded in a small provincial town in Austria. There he meets Magdalena, a mysterious and secretive woman, whose ex-husband is an immigration policeman. Anja Salomonowitz's film debut tells the story of love without borders.
