In the Taiwanese drama Tokyo Juliet, award-winning actor Simon Yam (Election) stars as an unscrupulous fashion designer, a role perhaps more calculating than his previous one in Election. The handsome Brunei-born Wu Zun (aka Goh Kiat Chun), a member of the popular group Fahrenheit, stars as his son, coupled with beautiful singer/TV actress Ariel Lin. In the drama, she plays a talented young fashion designer named Sui who has just been admitted into a prestigious design school. On her first day there, she announces to everyone her plan to beat top fashion designer Chuxing (Simon Yam), whom she has hated for years. While she claims that she wants no romance before her triumph over Chuxing, she soon has a crush on a handsome classmate Liang (Wu Zun), who is just as talented.
