Making Irena Adler a dominatrix must have taken the same courage as bringing Sherlock Holmes into the twenty-first century. But all praise - once again it worked and an impressive show of sparkling intrigue was created. The story of this episode is also beautifully complex and intertwined (I'm really looking forward to watching it a second time) and there's a lot more humor compared to the finale of the first series. When everything fell into place in the end, it was pure joy. ()
A great kick-off to the second season. I couldn't find any faults in the storytelling (not that I was really looking), the atmosphere was spot-on, and Sherlock, John, and even Mrs. Hudson all added to the quick-paced excitement. Plus, Irene Adler's character was a great move. And to top it off, there was just the right amount of humor, leaving me thoroughly satisfied. ()
