Onomatopoetikum

Knut Karger's film is full of buzzing, barking, croaking, mooing, meowing and many other sound effects. Representatives of different countries and nations try to reproduce each of these types of sounds. Each of them, with great dedication but also an unconcealed sense of amusement, becomes an animal for a short while. The play on sounds continues as, after a while, on the screen we see the animal currently being presented depicted as a hero in a humorous cartoon. Despite the fact that all the heroes speak different languages, they become surprisingly similar to one another during this game and their own language seems no longer important. (DOK.fest München)
