Surprisingly, this is a very successful psychological melodrama. A young marriage is falling apart because the man is indifferent to his wife, they live with their parents and she discovers that she still has a childhood love interest in the idyllic countryside from her youth. A civilian perspective on situations, typical acting of the 50s, and a beautiful triangle between Stanislava Seimlová, Václav Voska, and Otto Lackovič. In addition, as a bonus, we get a young Jana Brejchová in a cameo. If it weren't for the harsh inorganic ending that breaks the whole well-constructed lyricism, it could have received a perfect score. ()
