In the wake of the 2005 terrorist bombings, Elisabeth (two-time Academy Award®-nominee Brenda Blethyn), a widow from a small farming community, travels to London in search of her missing daughter. As she cautiously navigates a world unlike her own, she repeatedly crosses paths with Ousmane (Silver Berlin Bear-winner Sotigui Kouyaté), a Muslim man attempting to locate his missing son. Before long, Elisabeth and Ousmane come to the shocking realization that their children share a connection, and if they have any hope of finding answers, they must put aside their cultural differences and work together.
