At first, it seemed like a missionary film, where the doctor decides that enlightenment is needed among the blacks, who believe that their own religion can accomplish something. Alright. Then it's also dramatic, a bit romantic, and doesn't offer much more, just decent actors in a fairly predictable plot. ()
