House on the Periphery

An adolescent boy is roaming the streets. He tries to steal a bicycle and is arrested by a policeman. He is taken from the court to an institute of correction. At night he tries to escape, but winds up in a greenhouse where the flowering plants fascinate him. He creeps back into the institute. He has the opportunity to learn tailoring, cabinet making, shoe repairing and other crafts. He chooses gardening.
