The Knot

Chen Xiushui is an English teacher in Taiwan. His pupil has a sister, Wang Biyun. They fall in love, but he has to leave to fight against Korea. First he is a doctor during the war, then a soldier working to rebuild the country in Tibet. A woman, Wng Jindi, also a soldier, falls in love with him. But he still loves Wang Biyun. Some time later they marry, but it has been painful for them. Meanwhile, the real Wang Biyun continues in Taiwan, waiting and trying to find out what has happened to Chen Xiushui.
