Featuring Kieran O'Brien (24 Hour Party People, My Kingdom) and Margo Stilley (in her acting debut), the film is produced by Andrew Eaton (In This World, 24 Hour Party People, Wonderland). 9 Songs takes place in London in the autumn of 2003. The film follows the love affair between Matt (O'Brien) and Lisa (Stilley) with live footage from the 9 concerts they go to together: Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The Von Bondies, Elbow, Primal Scream, The Dandy Warhols, Super Furry Animals, Franz Ferdinand and Michael Nyman. Un lien intéressant entre la musique et l’intimité. On ne peut pas parler d’une intrigue recherchée ; il s’agit plutôt d’un assemblage de scènes de sexe explicites en combinaison avec des chansons. Malgré l’absence d’intrigue, j’ai beaucoup aimé ce film atypique.
